Community Connection in the Park
We want to know and love on folks in our community, especially those who may be hurt, impoverished, homeless, or lost in some way. God has planted our church near E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park and every Thursday morning we serve lunch in the park as an opportunity to build relationships with our neighbors. Help us strive to be be the love of Jesus, filling hearts and bellies.
God is calling me to Lead All y’all
I believe you. At Next Step leaders are identified first by their faithful service. At our annual family meetings, the congregation, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, nominates those they believe are qualified and called to various aspects of leadership (eg: elders, deacons, trustees, etc…).

Feed the Peoples
We fellowship together with great food after service every Saturday. This is a wonderful time together… but less wonderful if we are all hungry. We strive to provide plenty of food for all, and help is always welcome. You can signup to bring entrees, sides, desserts or drinks for upcoming fellowship lunches.
Kids, Kids, Kids
Where did all these kids from? Help!
If you are great with kids, from babies through teenagers, we have opportunities to “raise kids in the Way of the Lord.” In addition to childrens church classes on Saturday mornings, we have special events, summer camps and weekly youth group on Wednesday nights.
Note: we run background checks on all staff or volunteers working with kids.
Volunteer
We believe God has prepared, purposed and is even now gifting you to display His glory. How is He calling you to serve? We have many opportunities to serve, or maybe God is calling you to start something new!
Sights and Sounds
Our worship services are never a performance, but it helps if folks can see and hear the preaching, praying, and praising! You don’t have to be a tech wizard, we can teach you to run slides, sound or the livestream if you are willing to learn!
Setup and Cleanup
May the greatest treasurers in heaven go to those who are out of the spotlight, making everything happen. Every week we have folks preparing the sanctuary, setting up chairs and tables and music equipment… and then cleaning up afterwards. We occasionally have some fun while doing it, too.
