Who We Are
Next Step Christian Church is a covenant community, first with Jesus, then with one another.
Covenant with Jesus - a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, symbolized with baptism by immersion.
Covenant with one another - affirming and living out the church covenant to the best of one’s ability.
Covenant
As disciples of Jesus we covenant together to love God and love others, inside and outside the church fellowship in word & action. We walk together by the light of God's infallible Word, filled with the Spirit of God, in sacrifice, submission and trust. We are on mission: to encourage and equip one another to take the next bold step in being and making disciples of Jesus.
Vision
A vision is a clear picture of a spot further down the road - a place we can arrive at and seek God’s next steps, His next vision for our more preferable future. Here at Next Step, we believe God is calling us to focus in these areas of growth in this coming season:

We will radically and famously love one another. This love begins in reconciliation. We should look across this room and be able to honestly say, “I would die for you. I will sacrifice for you. I will submit to you. I will trust you.”

We will love and serve the needy and vulnerable in our community. Most immediately, we have homeless folks literally knocking on our front doors. We are particularly focused on serving the homeless community at E.B. Raines Park just South of the church building and seeing God work in some incredible ways.

We will be bold witnesses for Jesus. We will prepare, practice and be ready with our testimonies. We will seek out opportunities to share boldly. Practically, this means that month by month, or even week by week, you can tell a story of someone you shared the gospel with.
