The Worst of Sinners

Our Team

Dusty Mackintosh

Lead Pastor

I find courage to continually answer this pastoral call on my life - in the firm belief that God answers prayer, inspires me in study and reflection, fills me in proclaiming and living out his word, and redeems my small and faulty efforts, putting his extra on my ordinary.

Presently, I am bi-vocational working full time as a Software Engineer for Faithlife (makers of Logos Bible Study Software). I recognize God’s providential hand in my bi-vocational flexibility. I am called to serve the local church, specifically, the Next Step church in Thornton, Colorado. God called me out of California to Thornton, Colorado to join this church replant in His perfect timing. I was raised in and continue to love the small church atmosphere where “small” means a family of growing and faithful believers, not an inward-directed comfort that aspires only to the status quo. I can imagine no greater thing in this life than to be used by God in the changing of His people.

It is a ridiculous privilege and blessing to be Pastor of Next Step Christian Church. Thank you to my wife and 5 kids for walking out this journey with me.
